Field Experiences

Foothills Academy hosts a continuing series of unique Field Experiences.

In past years they have taken the form of student and faculty camping trips to Chapel Rock, Prescott and other venues; architectural tours of Bank One Ballpark; YMCA wall climbing and indoor pool; ASU athletic events; Advanced Spanish Language study in Mexico; viewing of the Monet exhibit at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts; and botany, zoology and snorkeling at Catalina Island ... to mention just a few.

Snorkeling off the coast of Catalina Island, CA, was a unique and exciting opportunity for our aquaphiles.

Hiking is always a part of the experience. It's fun, good exercise, and fosters an appreciation for the beauty of the natural world.

Up the ladder, across the rope, over the log, down the slide. Students gain confidence and agility negotiating the skills course at Chauncey Ranch in Prescott.

Whatever the activity, our intent is always the same: to build and strengthen bonds of friendship and trust among the students and faculty. Through activities involving leadership and cooperation we emerge with a true feeling of community. Our retreat program and field experiences are both entertaining and educational.
